Having a moral and Biblical standard I follow is considered "hate speech".

Tell me then; since when is it okay in a "free country" to bash down on Christians because we actually stand for something? Ever hear that phrase: "If you don't stand for something, then you fall for anything."? Well, America used to stand for good values, but now those values are crumbling as we threw God and His principals out the window. Because, guess what, we no longer stand for Him, so we are falling for everything!

We the people have legalized murder (abortion)
We the people promote sexual immorality
We the people use the excuse that lesbians are "born that way", and so we say it's cool to legalize same-sex marriage
We the people ignore the poor and needy

I refuse to be dragged down to the moral level our country has let themselves become. What I see promoted in society disgusts me to no end. Even if I am the last one standing, I will not fall. I will stand firm with the power of Jesus Christ in me. I will love them, but I will in no way condone what they are doing. It is only with Christ's love I am able to love them. Maybe somehow, some way, I can shed some light of God's truth in this dark world.

People, we are in the last days as spoken in Revelation. The end is rapidly approaching. Do not wait another minute. Your eternal soul hangs in indecision. Make the choice to live for Jesus. Surrender to Him, give up sin and stop living for this corrupt world that brings no satisfaction. Only Jesus can bring you peace.

woah woah woah woah, wait a second here buddy. Not trying to hate on you or anything so please don't take it that way, but homosexual people are born that way, sorry but it's true.

I understand that you believe in god/jesus/whatever invisible man in the sky that you want to believe in, and that's cool. But you have to think about how you are wording something so that you don't upset people in the way that I have seen in the comments below mine.

All I am saying is, keep on believing in your person upstairs, and let others believe in theirs. and please don't hate on homosexuals, they are people too just as much as you and I are.

Until I see scientific DNA evidence that homosexuals are "born that way", that excuse is a load of crap.

I will continue to love people, but I will not accept nor condone what they are doing. Homosexuality is a choice, and it is based on sinful, sexual, lust, not true love. Sorry, but that is the truth.

Yeah, and you know that he's been with his husband Scott for the past 21 years, and they seems to be pretty in LOVE with each other.

It's not true love, it is merely sexual lust. I am sad that people think nothing bad will happen as a result of their actions. Every choice has consequences.

I totally agree, but even though the bible says that being gay is a sin, it also says "love thy neighbour" and "let he who has never sinned cast the first stone". I don't know about you, but I have definitely sinned in my lifetime. I have no right to judge gay people, people who have had abortions, or anyone for that matter. I am against abortion and homosexuality, don't get me wrong, But I just don't think that it's right to judge people.

Who said I'm judging them?

I believe I put in this journal somewhere that I do not hate and/or judge people. I stand against the things they do, but that doesn't mean I am judging. To just sit by and love them without action to tell them what they're doing is wrong, that's not really loving, is it? It's being tolerant, like they want us to be. Passive little Christians who don't speak up. If I'm a target speak up,so be it.

I don't make opinions based on what I see and presume, I oppose things that are sinful based on the facts in the Bible and also because all sin harms and only causes pain in the end.

Look up all of the awful things that can happen to homosexuals as a result of their sinful lifestyles regarding sex. Also, look up the harm it does to family values and trust statistics. Find the facts for yourself before accusing me of having none.

I'm sorry if it sounded like i was accusing you of judging, i didn't mean to... I only added a few of my own words, cause people are always saying that us Christians are only picking out verses of the bible and ignoring the rest, i was only proving that we don't do that. I wasn't saying that you were judging, i was saying that we, as christians, shouldn't judge.

There's a huge difference between judging someone and pointing out that what they're doing is a sin. I don't think you'd witness a murder and not tell anyone because you've lied before.

Wonderful journal. This has stuck with me since I first read it earlier today. I know I'm guilty of "slacking" where I should be steadfast in my beliefs, and this has opened my eyes. I love everyone despite what they do or have done, because not only do I want to be loved, but Christ first loved me and commands me to love others. ^^ I have less of a backbone when it comes to Biblical morals. I'll make that my focus from now on. Thanks for sharing this with us. <3

You're welcome; and thanks for commenting. I have been guilty in the past of inaction, and I kind of feel like a sheep infiltrating a den of wolves when I speak out on this website, but I can't stand sitting idly by any longer.

You can be a witness and show a Biblical standard b just doing something small, like praying for people who scare or hurt you. I enjoy reading my Bible at work on my lunch break, and my co-workers are starting to take notice. Even though it makes me different, I'm glad that it shows them I stand for something in a world that falls for anything. :)

God gives us the strength, courage, and the words we need at the right time, and if we ask Him.

I'm just saying the way you worded every thing made it sound like all these things were invented or introduced to America yesterday.

Legalized murder: abortion legalized in 1973. Child sacrifice goes back to ancient Mespotamia

Marriage redefinition: polygamy popularized by mormons in the 19th century. Polygamy found in my many ancient eurasian civilations. Same gender marriage first laws made in mid 1990s.

Promotion of sexual immorality: goes as far back as pre-flood times

Sin as identity: Possible as old as Greek philosophy could predate Greek philosophy

Ignorance of the poor and needy: Any post Genesis 3 time that had any kind of civilization that didn't have 100% of the middle and elite classes donating to charities of some sort

I know this stuff has been around since Noah's time, but people who never read the Bible don't know that. Most people don't even retain a basic knowledge of historical events.

I can see that reading excessively into my writing style is a thing you do. :D

I know what I'm doing. While I respect and appreciate your opinion, I choose my writing style to fit the modern minds of this generation's youth.

With all due respect, telling people that Jesus is coming back because of things that have broken occurring in every post Genesis 3 civilization is kind of deceptive. We actually don't have any signs of when the rapture will happen, just when the tribulation will happen, in which the rapture must happen. I recommend Isaiah and Revelation. You'll find out escatology has to do with the state of Israel, Gog and Magog, and the rise of neo Babylon and a United planetary empire more than it has to do with the amount or frequency of current wrongdoing.

However, some things do change, we are told that we aren't just to permiss sin, but to advertise it and never shut up about how great it is, and infect every aspect of culture with it.

I like to think of it as a pendulum. The pendulum was more towards a dark time during Greco-Roman but Jesus Christ's first coming broke that, that is, until the coming of the Catholicism that put the world in the dark ages that was broken by the reformation.

Let us evagelize the most we can and hope that all dark times in the future don't have to be ended by the second coming, although one will eventually.

I've read the signs in Revalation, and while, yes, you are correct in that nowhere does the Scriptures reveal when the rapture will come, it  gives us plenty of evidence for the end times. Wars, famine, rampant immorality, idolatry, earthquakes, etc. These are supposed to be warnings telling people they better get their act together before it's too late.

It has been happening since the fall of man when sin cursed the world, but as the end draws near, it's becoming more violent and accelerating at a rapid rate. Plus, signs in the stars that never happened before. "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!" ~2 Timothy 3:1-5

Not to say that there was no evil in days of old and times past, but that in modern society it has become rampant, even encouraged among the culture.
